Unbelievable Machine is part of the Cyber Security Alliance by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and BITKOM. Customers benefit from faster information, concentrated expertise and a more secure economic environment.
Nowadays business processes depend on the reliable and error-free functioning of information and communication technology. It is therefore more important than ever to protect IT and ICT. After all, every industry and every company can become a victim of cyber attacks, although the threats are not always obvious. Hackers’ strategies are becoming more and more sophisticated and the damages are rising to record levels: in 2019 alone, the damages from attacks on German companies totaled almost 103 billion euros and the time spent by attackers in company networks rose to an average of 95 days. Because companies and organizations still lack the know-how and technology to detect and defend against cyber attacks.
We see changing this as one of our most urgent tasks and already offer state-of-the-art security services in connection with the experienced colleagues of Basefarm’s Security Operations Center and the extensive range of cyberdefence capacities of our parent company Orange.
In order to actively contribute to the improvement of the general conditions and to make the entire economic site more secure, we have now become part of the Alliance for Cyber Security – an initiative of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) in cooperation with the German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM) – as part of our certificates and partnerships.
The alliance is an association of all important players with the declared objective to increase cyber security in Germany and to strengthen the ability of Germany as a business location to withstand cyber attacks. This is achieved, among other things, by building up a comprehensive knowledge base and far-reaching measures for prevention, detection and response, such as:
- Creation and communication of status reports on current patterns of attack to speed up the response to attacks and reduce their impact.
- Providing background information and guidance on solutions to accelerate the development of effective countermeasures and technical solutions to defend against future attacks.
- Intensification of the exchange of experience on the topic of cyber security in order to benefit from each other and improve cyber security across Germany.
To this end, our experts work together with the BSI as well as with our partners and multipliers within the alliance. We expand these efforts through offerings such as training courses, information events and the provision of security products.
Our customers benefit in several ways from the combined capacities of Allianz: both directly through faster and even better services and indirectly through a secure economic environment in Germany.
