When it comes to digitization today, there is no way around artificial intelligence and machine learning. Their share of digital value creation is rising rapidly and will increase tenfold by 2022. This and other key findings have just been published in our study. The highlights are now also available as an infographic.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning have clearly arrived in everyday corporate life. Their degree of planning and deployment is continuously increasing. Half of German companies are already actively involved in machine learning.
Their share of value added in digital products and solutions is also increasing. Within the next four years, a tenfold increase in the value share is expected, which corresponds to about a quarter of the digital value added of German corporations and substantiates the strategic relevance for digitization and competitiveness.
Together with Crisp Research and Dell EMC, we explain what this means for which industries and what matters in the study “Machine Learning in German Companies – Operation and Application of Artificial Intelligence”. It is based on a survey of more than 150 IT and business decision-makers from medium-sized companies and corporations in March and April 2018.
The study provides decision-makers and managers with an empirically sound overview of integration into products and services. And it shows how companies organize their operations and which applications are now based on machine learning or will be in the future.
